I had this surgery in June of 2004 and I have remained around 140 …..PLUS we were able to get pregnant on our own where as our daughter we had to take infertility meds.My son is a beautiful healthy 3 yr old.The only begative I have found is that I have 20 lbs of excess skin now and it hangs on me so I have to be real careful with shorts and t shirts making sure they cover my skin.Insurance normally dosent cover the removal.

I was in bad medical condition with many serious health issues. Doctors had told me many times I would be dead soon and needed a heart transplant as well as sleep apnea, arthritis, knee replacement, back replacement, neck fusion. I had ruen by pass surgery in 2002, lost 150lbs and have been healthy every since with no health problems anymore. was in wheel chair for many years and worked everyday. Back at work in one week. Best thing I ever did. I still have kept the weight off and can eat most foods ok.

I forgot to add that your attitude and faith is what will help you through this surgery. If you have a bad attitude and are a complainer, that will not change. Your attitude does indeed effect your health. I promise you that!
